Name of your website?

rwandasafaritours.com

Your name?

kikune

Your Location (city, etc)

Plot 4 Kimathi Avenue, Kampala

Please give us a short summary of your website?

The website is about enabling all those interested in taking an East African vacation, safari, tour or holiday especially in Rwanda and Uganda with Gorilla trekking as the major activity.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The ever increasing need for information on the East African travel, safari and tours inspired me to get in and help out.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

It was in 2007 and that was http://www.jewelsafaris.com catering for all the East African countries.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I had to first survey the available websites and find out what kind of information that tourists were looking for most.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

My website is more specific (say direct if you like)to its topics! That is, explains where to go and what exactly is there to do.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My goal is to keep the website for income.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I would say fair enough at the moment.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would change my site to enable real time communication with my visitors.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Definitely!

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

I haven't met any unexpected costs at the moment because I do things myself!!!

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting the site into the first page of the SERPS without paid campaigns!! But am glad am there now!

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Strict adherence to all the little details!

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Things don't just happen immediately!!!

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I've just had it for four months and am going to keep it for as long as I can!!

What is your main source of inspiration?

Knowing that there are people who count on your efforts and appreciate your services!

What is your website address?
