Name of your website?

Action Travel

Your name?

Andrea Sandri-Boriani

Your Location (city, etc)

Phalaborwa

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Action Travel is a wildlife and honeymoon tours specialist tour operator based in Phalaborwa, providing top quality tours, honeymoons and wildlife safaris in Southern Africa

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The Internet is a vast resource of knowledge. Our website was built in order to supply accurate and concise information within our target market, and to create an easy-to-locate portal for our client and prospective clients to be able to contact us and assist in creating custom-made tours to suit them.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Actiontravel.co.za was launched in 2001

How did you decide on a name for your website?

People are looking for adventure, excitement and something new when they travel overseas. We believe our name encapsulates this.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We offer tailor-made tours, designed to fit our client's budget and duration of stay. All our clients receive 1-on-1 attention from our qualified agents in order to ensure this.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Our website will be kept to continue to add value to our clients.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Heavily. Our success is determined by the amount of time and attention we offer our clients, and that's the way it should be in this industry!

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

We are actually in the process of adding some exciting new features, such as a newsletter, forum and blog. We are steering towards a more interactive website.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Absolutely! Bring it on!

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Some logisical stuff like power interruptions which are somewhat common in South Africa currently and are out of our control.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Forums and word-of-mouth. But our sites are also well-placed in the SERP's natural listings.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Our site has been active for almost 8 years already, and shows no sign of slowing down!

What is your website address?
